Congress as J5?

Norman Ornstein needs to see a doctor about a chemical imbalance or brain tumor. In Roll Call (subscription req'd) he puts out one of the most insane concepts I have heard yet. And you though LBJ picking out bombing targets was bad...
It would be nice if we could assume that our military is doing this (planning for Lebanon, Syria, Iran, others..) since it should seem obvious that this is an enormous danger.

But our stretched and preoccupied military is in no position to do serious thinking or advance planning. One does not have to watch a clueless Pace, who is Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, or an unrepentant Rumsfeld to understand this....Congress is necessary at this point to do some strategizing...
Yep. That would help the focus at the front lines a lot. Sounds like Bush and/or Rummy derangement syndrome has taken another victim. Makes me wonder who Norman is.
