LOL Perfect.
Ouch.... hot coffee hurts when it comes out your nose.... :(
Greetings:
I heard that Master Chiefs never retire; They just stop coming to work.
Jeff Bacon is the Nevy's Bill Mauldin. He really does "get it" and understand sailors, ships, and humor. He was the reason I would read Navy Times long ago when I was on active duty, and it is wonderful that he even provides free weekly email of his cartoons. They are much more useful than any of the slick stuff that comes out of the retired office.
I know he does cartoons about Uncle Sam's Misguided Children as well, and hope that our Marines enjoy those just as much.
Or come in as a GSer the following Monday. :)
One of the guys I know had Bacon as an XO. He said you'd be in a meeting, someone would say something stupid, funny, or whatever, and you'd see him scribble notes down. "Aww crap! I just made Broadside!" :)
Bacon is a real gem. At one time the Navy Exchange carried a line of t-shirts with his work on it.
I thought they came back to work as a GS in about a month, under direct orders of CINCHOUSE after one too many times of the Master Chief telling CINCHOUSE how to run things better! :-D
Anyone remember a cartoon in Navy Times called "The Chief's Kid"?
Retirement: half the money, twice the husband... >:o
