History, Piracy, and 2010

If you don't use Twitter often, you may want to for the next day. I'm spending the day with MaryR, URR, Eagle1, Galrahn, xformed, along with many Midrats guests Claude Berube, Virginia Lunsford, Eric Wertheim, CDR Junge, and more at the 2010 USNI History Conference: Piracy on the high seas.

We'll be using the Twitter hashtag #Piracy2010.

No wonder posting was light...you're in DC playing hooky with Mary and URR...don't let that Marine get you into a drinking contest!

Will a transcript be posted somewhere other than twitter?

I sincerely hope you did not suffer greatly from your night of debauchery :)

Well if he woke up with his boxers on backwards, apparently that is now okay....

Got two posts up on my blog.  Had ro revert to notes due to lack of a power outlet.  Will be running those up tomorrow.  For you who missed it...it was good, and the talk over dinner last night, and at the bar this afternoon...right up there, too.

And I got to see that the host doesn't really look like his picture on here!

So, you felt it as if you are experienced in that sensation?

Taller and better color in the cheeks?

Not for the past 20 years, not even close. And I NEVER came home after a night of carousing in THAT state ;) . Then again, I've never gone drinking with a crazy Marine, either!

"Crazy" is such a subjective term.  Maggie prefers "mental".

I think so, but you'd have to ask her.

A big, ugly, hairy, dull-witted teddy bear.
