Well the upUS Navy stopped using Lead Base Oaint in 1996, which would have made Cdr. Michael William Brannon, USN the first of the post 1996 Rust Navy Commanding Officers or Cdr. Charles Ferguson...

How about for the period actually under discussion in the article? When that picture was taken. I'm guessing the ship didn't look like that when it came out of the builder's yard, so maybe that guy...

For what timeframe! USS Fort McHenry had twenty-four CO’s from 8 August 1987 to 27 March 2021! The last being Cdr. Michael J. Fabrizio, which last known whereabouts was in Mayport, Florida of the...

All these years later, I'm curious--does anyone know where the then CO ended up? Retire at 3-star or something?

What, no Canadian bacon on the pizza?
Excellent UNREP with the pizza. Seems the limiting factor is no place to p**p after all that beer and pizza.
Get that guy a job at NAVSEA!!!!
You don't fish much, do you? ;)
HAH! Just didn't seem to be any place to hang for overboard discharge. Without falling in.
I knew that these kids weren't american once I saw them starting to build the raft. No wood shop anymore in our schools, except for maybe in the mid west.
Canadian LCS?
I would have had them rope the pizza in... after a few beers their catching skills may have been wobbly. Never risk letting good pizza go to waste.
Fun video... but I do worry about that northern border. Word is it's a little porous in areas and not everyone is as delightful as this picaresque group.
Riverine. Canada's Brown Water Navy.
Incomplete underway checklist if they forgot a bottle opener.
I wonder if they did formal weight/balance calculations. I noticed the upper deck couches in the drawings didn't make it to the final product.
You work at NAVSEA, don't you? ;)
Well, since apparently those hikers think we're equivalent to Iran, let's look at this video differently. We should have seized those happy boatmen and their boat, accused them of "spying" and thrown them into Gitmo (which apparently is morally and physically equivalent to Evan Prison.). And waited for Noam Chomsky, Hugo Chavez and Sean Penn to work for their freedom.
Thank you, hikers, for your little presser. You have shown an amazing lack of understanding of your role as props in an international kabuki political theater. And proved there is no way in hell you were ever tasked as spies for any operation of importance.
(Going into the tunnels to find something to drink. I won't toast the freedom of those seemingly ungrateful noobs who don't know when to shut up or with whom the real blame for international problems really rests. Their clueless wandering around international borders created a headache of international proportions for a lot of people. Silence would have been a better choice for them at this point.)
Yeah, I noticed the press conference of those two freaking hippies. Hopefully freeing all the innocent political prisoners in Iran and America. NICE! A tool bebfore they were illegally kidnapped and STILL a hippy tool.
I dug operation resuply!
No prob. If the screwed up they can just add butt cheeks after the fact. Precedent has been set.
" And proved there is no way in hell you were ever tasked as spies for any operation of importance. " +2
I was cautiously optimistic that they would have something more meaningful to say, maybe the 300 or so extra days having more an impact on these two then it did to the GF. Oh well.
But they will be center stage at Starbucks and won't need to wait in line at Whole Foods for a while.
No I wouldn't think so. NAVSEA contracts for a couple of million $ to buy armor for patrol boats and doesn't consult a naval architect until after the money is spent. It is only then that the fools learn that with the armor weight added to the hulls that they won't ever get up on a plane and will flip in any sort of turn. PMS 325.
