Diversity Thursday

I had a lot of fun reading JQP last week. I wanted to bring it over to the Navy side of the house for ya'll that don't go there on a regular basis to review.

Tony brought out in to the light a practice of official racial quota mongering that has been going on for years. So long, that people are blind to the raw racist nature of it all.

Even though there is a lot of, "What is the big deal. We've been doing this for years.." going on, those doing it though know it is wrong, why else would they say the following? You know they feel dirty.

Make sure and read it all at JPQ and a follow bit over at AirForceTimes.

What if the Colonel is half African American? 1/4? 1/8? What if he is more like Shaun King than M.L. King?

Of course, it is all dirty. It is all beneath the dignity of our nation, regardless of how long it has been done ... as if that has ever been an excuse for doing the wrong thing.

It just says that the USAF assumes that you need a minority to evaluate a minority - that the Colonels they select are, as a group, just a cabal of racists, sexists and any other insult the self preening queens of condescension want to throw their way.

That poor guy and gal too.  "Oh hi guys!  I'm the token!"

Sad and abusive - but that is what you get when a 1970s mindset running wild in the middle of the second decade of the 21st Century.
