When did we become Prussia?

Will someone please send Chad to the Cato Institute for a fellowship?

As I mentioned SEPCOR, there is so much wrong here, I don't know where to start.

It is almost like a late 19th Century Prussian wrote this.
The Army is not only the foundation of the Joint Force — it is the foundation of our liberty and prosperity in ways many Americans do not recognize.
Dude, seriously - I am sure you are a great guy, but your civics leave a lot to be desired.

The USA is a republic with an army, not the other way around - or at least is supposed to be.

What pray tell is the Army supposed to be the foundational element of? Over to Chad;
I. Foundation of Liberty and Security:
II. Foundation to National Civil Authorities:
III. Foundation of the Joint Force:
IV. Foundation for the National Economy:
V. Foundation for National Healthcare:
This doesn't just make me want to take away his JPME books. If the "without the army, there is no nation" attitude does not make you want to return to a National Guard based land component, nothing will. ... are we sure he isn't trolling?

Good googly moogly - he even has a little math to decorate this highly anti-liberty vibe.
These foundational tenets can be seen in the following model (where π represents a mathematical constant):
π = The Army
(π X civilian rule) = Liberty
(π X Joint Force) = National Security
(π X Civil Support) = Domestic Tranquility
(π X research and infrastructure investment) = Economic Prosperity
(π X medical research) = Longevity of Nation and The People
Maybe this whole liberty thing is outdated and I'm the problem.

I'll close with Madison.
“A standing army is one of the greatest mischief that can possibly happen”
...
“Keep within the requisite limits a standing military force, always remembering that an armed and trained militia is the firmest bulwark of republics - that without standing armies their liberty can never be in danger, nor with large ones safe”
--- James Madison.
At tip A.
