DiploSpeak Doesn't Translate Well

There is a big difference between "being diplomatic," optimistic spin, and just plain lying to your face.

When working around difficult subjects, the first two are acceptable artistic forms, but the artist needs to be very careful not to drift, when things get too hard, in to the third - especially when you find yourself ear-deep in facts.

Ambassador Rice simply does not come of well in this exchange with NBC. Not at all.
