Like I've said before - if your enemy is attacking you for his religious reasons, then you are by definition in a religious war. Not of your choosing, but a religious war nonetheless.
I actually feel sorry for Paul Stockton, President Obama’s Assistant Defense Secretary for Homeland Defense & America’s Security Affairs who you will see in the following video. He literally squirms. You can almost see the truth wanting to come out, but he is fighting to keep it in.
Rep. Dan Lungren (R-CA) did an outstanding service here in pointing out the fact that we are taking bad advice. Until we accurately address the problem, we won't defeat it. I would also say that by not even using the "I" word or "M" word we are patronizing our Muslim countrymen who have as much in common with AQ as I do with the Christian Identity Movement. They and we are big enough to handle the truth, not that transparent PC babble.

"The first, the supreme, the most far-reaching act of judgment that the statesman and commander have to make is to establish . . . the kind of war on which they are embarking."
- Karl von Clausewitz
Our politcal class is cowed. They don't use the M or I word because CAIR will jump ugly if they do.
Sorry Sal, but I have less faith in our Muslim countrymen than you do. There is no such thing as moderate Islam, only non-observant Muslims.
This is not about political correctness? This is about little else.
Our Defense Department's senior civilian leadership is a danger to our country. Our senior uniformed leadership that parrots these deliberate deceptions are, as well.
We expect a Lance Corporal to have the courage to kick in the door and enter a fortified building, yet this man hasn't the moral fortitude and sense of decency to speak the truth that everyone in the room knows to be.
Shameful. Unfortunately, it is the tripe of people no longer capable of felling shame.
Violent Islamic Extremism; the truth that dare not be spoken. Could you imagine this happening in WWII?
But I do not want to be in a religious war....!!
Tough noogies. The ENEMY already has made that decision. It was not up to just you to decide if we are going to be in a religious war. Face reality and deal with it like an adult.
As the saying goes - "the avalance has started....it is too late for the pebbles to vote"
Well, that would be easier if damned Mooselimbs could produce some real tanks, fighter planes, missiles that dont explode half the time when fired... and unite enough to form a caliphate for us to smash good old fashioned way (aka carpet bombing). And even when they do arm themselves after a fashion, they end up starting internecine warfare instead of smiting us unbelievers and heathen.
Looks like first-rate SNL material.
Ass Hat. Period. You feel sorry for him? Neigh. I feel sorry for us. This ass hat is supposed to be in charge of providing for the common defense against "Al Qaeda." Well, shit, we killed Osama bin Laden, what else is left to do if we're only at war with AQ and its affiliates?
Quick, send a note to Hezbollah, Hamas, Jaish al Mahdi, October 17, Red Army Faction, Actione Directe, and all the other groups that we're not at war with them. Because guess what: they are NOT allies with al Qaeda. And let's talk Somalia. They're not allies with al Qaeda either.
President Bush got it right when he launched the GWOT. I knew once Obama started talking about "being at war with al Qaeda" that we were f'ed.
Final note: A staunch Christian turns the other cheek, loves his neighbor as he loves himself, a separation between Church and State (casesar's is caesar's and the Lord's is the Lord's), worships the Lord and walks with him, and follows the word of the most compassionate man to ever walk the face of the earth.
A staunch Muslim believes in the conquering of all infidels, sharia law, and follows the word of an illiterate, pedofile warlord who murdered and robbed travelers between Mecca and Medina in order to finance his Army to conquer Arabia.
AOD,
So, you'll take a pass on being the Muslim Outreach director for the ecumenical prayer breakfast then? Peas be upon you. ;)
What is left to do? Well, hmm, kill the former egyptian
pediatrician that has been the CEO to Osamas Chairman of the Board. Then kill all the successors and all their successors. Got a whole lot of rat killin' left.
Jes Sayin'.
What is the final solution to the muslim problem?
Very unclear to me. They are authorized to make truces to avoid being eradicated. Offer a truce. Just realize you have to follow through when they break it, which they will.
Add to the fact that the Muslim world has massively misunderstood our ability to respond to their threats.....the truth is that we have evolved beyond the historically proper response to such a naked agressive threat to our existence. The only interesting part is how long we are going to continue to attempt to play out this "modern" concept of reciprocity before we return to the tried and true response to such agression.
Anyone who thinks us incapable of resorting to such historically accurate responses is delusional - when push comes to shove you do not want to be our enemy.
The only question is in the timing of the transition from our current approach to the historical approach.
Exactly, The west and most specificaly the US can kill pretty much 90% of the islamic world in a single day. The fact that we are reasonable to an extent but mostly because we have forgotten what being truely threatened felt.
A author i like wrote a book called caliphate. Its his nightmare senario on what could happen if a couple of nukes were detonated in the US by islamist. Bloody and nasty and terrifying but more realistic than i've read elsewhere.
