Regular readers have heard me preach "Evolutionary, not Revolutionary" when discussing shipbuilding. The smart among you have also been following Sid's links on our past shipbuilding practices. Well, a picture is worth a thousand of my prattlings. My favorite shipbuilding period is the inter-war period Cruiser production. What a highly successful program that gave us ships that served through the Cold War.
I offer for your review from left to right, the USS Salt Lake City (CA-25) - 1929 (PENSACOLA Class), the USS Pensacola (CA-24) (PENSACOLA Class) - 1929, and the USS New Orleans (CA-32) (NEW ORLEANS) - 1935.
If you don't get it - I can't help you.
