The Navy’s new Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is not only staggeringly overpriced and chronically unreliable but — even if it were to work perfectly — cannot match the combat power of similar sized foreign warships costing only a fraction as much.Tom Sayen over at Time's BattleLandBlog takes a swing at hitting the bold-faced items about LCS we've been discussing over the last 6-8 years or so. Follow the link and nod that, yes, more and more people are seeing it.
UPDATE: RDML Kirby has responded ... should I fisk it? Most of his "facts" are actually assumptions. Big difference, and in any event - we've seen this PPT before. Why do we keep thinking that just because someone puts their hopes on a PPT slide that all of a sudden makes it a fact?
Link added to RDML Kirby's response. Sorry about that.
