Another LCS Facepalm

Rejoice dear hearts! More and more people are joining the front porch circa 2006!
The Navy’s new Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is not only staggeringly overpriced and chronically unreliable but — even if it were to work perfectly — cannot match the combat power of similar sized foreign warships costing only a fraction as much.
Tom Sayen over at Time's BattleLandBlog takes a swing at hitting the bold-faced items about LCS we've been discussing over the last 6-8 years or so. Follow the link and nod that, yes, more and more people are seeing it.

UPDATE: RDML Kirby has responded ... should I fisk it? Most of his "facts" are actually assumptions. Big difference, and in any event - we've seen this PPT before. Why do we keep thinking that just because someone puts their hopes on a PPT slide that all of a sudden makes it a fact?

Link added to RDML Kirby's response. Sorry about that.
