Biden illustrates why VPs were not bestowed any constitutional title connected with our armed forces. Biden satisfactorily fulfills his role as President of the Senate while it is has been infestated by other members of the decorum-bound and PC-obsessed legal profession.

What branch of the military did the Bush girls serve in? How many days of combat were the Cheney children in. The right wing chicken hawks are always the ones who tell us who our enemies are, but, they are never the ones to fight or to die. Joe Biden’s son went to Iraq.

Seriously, I prefer to think of this as self inflicted damage from the Navy itself. Too many times we blame our politicians when in truth, it is our own uniformed leadership that failed us.
Examples:
Naval Aviation procurement.
Integration of Women into the seagoing force.
Failure of Navy shipbuilding.
Regionalization and the stripping of all authority from shore station CO's
Turing CAPT billets into flag billets.
etc, etc, etc

Really Skippy? The "moron" rooted out corruption and pushed through a pipeline deal that had been stalled for years. What useful purpose, opther than keep a senate chair warm, has Blowhard Joe served? Have you ever read any of his foreign policy materail. I think he is far more qualified to be a moron than Palin. She does not come across well on the tube with that quirky North Dakota style accent, but she is a brighter bulb than ol' Joey. I wouldn't vote for either one of them, but if I were forced to, she would get my vote and not him. Your pick your moron and I'll pick mine :)

There are more than a few " combat JAG's" on both sides of the aisle. Or are we forgetting, Senator Graham (R-SC), former Rep Steve Buyer (R-IN), Rep Tim Griffin (R-AR) just to name a few.
