Wasn't one of the Diversity Thursday articles about a diversity officer who had given himself a diversity award?
What are we now, the Air Force?
To be honest though, it wouldn't be a CAPT awarding that to a YN2... LOM is authorized at the Flag level. ;)
Also, his ribbon rack looks smaller than mine and he doesn't have his pin... He's got nothing one me.
Maybe his pin is up under the flap...
We are not there...yet (not looking like various Heroes of the Sov Union on their remembrance days...). Ask any Canadian Officer you serve with for their unofficial guide to awards. The one mentioning the USAF is particularly amusing, and accurate. To quote a crusty and long serving US Army Colonel I once worked for: "If you are looking for fairness and objectivity...the awards board is the wrong place to be hunting...".
