The neighboring district to that of Alan West elects A.C. Hastings, who is the impeached and convicted former federal judge now facing ethics charges in the House.

We can hope that the new Congress, with a much stronger Republican veteran presence, will stop the downward spiral the last two years have seen in defense planning.  Oe reason the Dems are desperate to shove the START Treaty through the Senate in the Lame Duck is that they know that once the Republicans can begin using the subpoena power to conduct hearings on Obama's administration it will become impossible to force his agenda through either the House or the nominally Democratic Senate. With more Senators facing reelection in 2012 Harry Reid may be ostensibly the Leader of a Senate majority but practically come January the GOP will call the tune in both chambers.

He had me at duplicitous.  The man flat out gets it done.  I hope he governs as well as he presents himself.  If he is able to push aside the silliness and self serving crap in Congress, he will be a FANTASTIC presidential candidate.  Of course, like Palin, the Left will do all they can to destroy him.  But then,

Representative-elect West is a great American and we are lucky to have him as a voice of wisdom and patriotism amidst the mostly clowns that fill the seats in the House.

We need to help elect more like him!
