Let's talk about an organization we have not discussed much lately - the German American Bund ... oh wait, I'm sorry - C.A.I.R. - the organization described as an an “unindicted co-conspirator" in the first World Trade Center attack by the Department of Justice.

Let's go to Raymond Ibrahim for his summary;

The US Army War College (USAWC) has just surrendered to the demands of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) — an “unindicted co-conspirator,” to quote the US Department of Justice, in the largest terror-funding case in American history, and a designated “terrorist organization” in nations such as the UAE.

Funny, this doesn't really make me feel all that safe,

The FBI is severing its once-close ties with the nation's largest Muslim advocacy group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, amid mounting evidence that it has links to a support network for Hamas.

All local chapters of CAIR have been shunned in the wake of a 15-year FBI investigation that culminated with the conviction in December of Hamas fundraisers at a trial where CAIR itself was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator.

The U.S. government has designated Hamas as a terrorist organization.

Retired RADM now Rep from PA Sestak should say something - given his history with C.A.I.R. - something many of us have know for over a decade could have warned him from if he didn't want the money so much.

We can give Sestak a pass as he is what he is - but a decade and a half for the FBI? Feel safe?

Now Investor's Business Daily draws attention to a prosectution of a senior CAIR official who trained to wage jihad against American soldiers. IBD reports that the government has shed a little more light on CAIR in papers filed with the court:

"From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders," the filing states, "CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists." The government also cited evidence "the conspirators used deception to conceal from the American public their connections to terrorists."

IBD notes the senators and representatives who have spoken up for CAIR. IBD doesn't mention CAIR's close connections to MInnesota's own Fifth District Rep. Keith Ellison.

MPAC now wants to find out exactly who these Sufis are, who are working for the Zio-Con think tank. There were 8 Sufis who worked for them, and all apparently have gone abroad to hide while the storm is raging. They worked, according to Policy Exchange for over a year on the project, so some Muslim out there must have come into contact with them.

Who are they, what are their backgrounds … MPACUK will dig deeper and expose every last detail of the Sufis who tried to destroy their own community.

That is not a subtle threat. What is their "crime?"

Over the summer, Policy Exchange produced the most comprehensive report so far on the extent to which extremist literature is available in British mosques and Islamic institutions. It is called The Hijacking of British Islam.

Muslim undercover researchers visited nearly 100 mosques. In 26 of them, they found extremist material - titles such as Women Who Deserve to Go to Hell (for answering their husbands back), virulent insults of Jews and homosexuals, puritanical attacks on moderate Muslims, calls for the complete rejection of Western society etc.

Well, the BBC did weigh in - by attacking the Policy Exchange and the brave British Muslims that helped investigate the issue.

Policy Exchange researches all sorts of public policy - police reform, school choice, housing, as well as on Islamist extremism. Next week comes its big report on improving philanthropy. I find it repellent that the might of the BBC is deployed to threaten and bully a charity in this way.

More important, however, is the fate of Muslims in this country.

It is not often realised that the British citizens most persecuted by Islamist extremism are Muslims themselves.

The researchers that Policy Exchange used to find the extreme literature were all Muslims - no one else could pass unnoticed in a potentially hostile environment.

Because their safety was and is threatened, the think-tank protects their anonymity. On air, Newsnight revealed where some of them were.

Yesterday an Islamist website repeated this and called for supporters to help hunt them down. The BBC has unintentionally exposed them to the risk of harm.

What these brave Muslims undeniably found was evidence of widespread, obnoxious material that is a risk to decent Muslims and to British social order.

The BBC chose, in effect, to side with their extreme opponents and to cover up the report, because of an obsession about a few pieces of paper.

Oh, the pi55ing contest is over a few, not all, of the receipts - not a memogate like issue, much smaller and harder to prove.

The UK has a huge problem that we in the US just cannot comprehend - and the problem in the UK will get worse and worse until the British confront the beast they have allowed to exist within. Sure, we have our own Islamists issues, but they haven't attacked the US public with SVBIED and VBID in our own cities; yet. MPACUK, BTW, makes C.A.I.R. look like the Daughters of the American Revolution in comparison.

See Europe while it is still there - but go to London first, it is pretty much gone already insofar as it being a British city. Last time I was there, the neighborhood where we were staying (outside of Paddington of all places), at the local playground about 70% of the women with children were wearing head scarves. Walking around the neighborhood, it was only about 40% or so. In Istanbul it is about 5-10%. Go figure.

Yesterday, the University of Delaware asked Asaf Romirowsky to step down from an academic panel at the University of Delaware because another panelist, University of Delaware political scientist Muqtedar Khan, didn't want to share the podium with anyone who served in the Israeli Defense Forces.

Romirowsky, who holds joint American/Israeli citizenship and lives in Philadelphia, had been invited to join Khan, his colleague in political science, Stuart Kaufman, a staff member of the National Security Council during the Clinton administration, and a graduate student to discuss anti-Americanism in the Middle East. The program was organized by the College Republicans, the College Democrats, and the Students of Western Civilization Club. The Leadership Institute provided the funds for the panel, which met on the University of Delaware campus on Wednesday evening. The students offered Romirowsky the opportunity to come to campus next week and speak alone, with no other panel members who might object to his presence.

Imam Mahdi Bray, the executive Director of MAS Freedom Foundation expressed concern that in spite of the fact that most Muslims cherish American values, they are portrayed as seditious. He lamented the ignorance of Islam that underpins Islamophobia and suggested that occasionally some measures of the government, when in its overzealous endeavor to prosecute the war on terror it overplays its hand and undercuts Muslim civil rights, may also be contributing to the growing instances of Islamophobia. ... The afternoon Keynote address was delivered by Dan Sutherland, the Officer for Civil Rights at the Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Sutherland started by observing that there is “a lot of heat but very little light” on the subject of Islamophobia. He argued, based on fifty years of statistical data, that America has progressively become less and less racist.

The government’s case was very clear; yes there are disturbingly large numbers of incidences that suggest that prejudice is at work, however the overall picture indicates that things are not as bad as some Muslim leaders were claiming them to be.

The final panel of the day included, Ahmed Younis, the National Director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, Imad-ad-Dean Ahmad of the Association of Muslim Social Scientists and Muqtedar Khan of Brookings Institution. This panel sought to balance the debate by arguing that while there are disturbing indications of the growth of anti-Muslim prejudice in America, there are several surveys which speak to this reality, American Muslims must be careful how they talk about Islamophobia.

The panelists also argued that American Muslims must work with the government to not only challenge the anti-Islamic discourse that is spreading in the US but also work to correct some of the misunderstandings that the government itself maybe harboring about Islam and American Muslims.

Egads! CAIR? Do we need to say more? As for the rest, heck - Gates of Vienna covered this 6+ months ago. Let the Baron tell you. Now I know why so much of the thinking coming out of The Pentagon is so muddy-headed.

I am all for talking to all sorts of people. I am for engaging with the American Muslim community, but these guys? Terrorist sympathizers, anti-Semites, retrograde Islamists? We can do better - as taxpayers we should expect better - the the Americans that go to a Mosque and not a Church are better than those people.

Death Wish Caucus wins

The enemy kills via guile and stealth. The best way to stop a terrorist attack is for citizens, as their government has asked them, to report suspicious behavior. The German-American Bund Fifth Column, errrrr, C.A.I.R. and the Flying Imans (with their Trial Lawyer useful idiots) want to stop this by holding the threat of a life destroying lawsuit against any citizen who reports suspicious behavior prior to bodies on the floor.

It is logical to protect the watchful citizens from the enabler of the enemy by protecting them from lawsuits just for saying, "You may want to take a look at that guy, he is acting funny."

Well, with a few exceptions, the Democrat Party has blocked this. They want you to be quiet and die.

Someone tell me why they would vote against it. I will call my Democrat Senator and ask them - that should be interesting.

Here is something bipartisan for you: two profiles in slime - Brownback and Obama - didn't even vote. And they want to be President?

In praise of American Muslims

I know the ones I work with, who are my parents doctors, my neighbors have nothing in common with those I see on TV or rubbing wallets with Sestak with their membership cards with the German-American Bund .... oh, I'm sorry ... CAIR. Via Rusty at Jawa, The Washington Times has found something that should make us all feel good - American Muslims are turning their backs.

Membership in the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has declined more than 90 percent since the 2001 terrorist attacks, Audrey Hudson will report in Tuesday's editions of The Washington Times.

According to tax documents obtained by The Times, the number of reported members spiraled down from more than 29,000 in 2000 to less than 1,700 in 2006, a loss of membership that caused the Muslim rights group's annual income from dues to drop from $732,765 in 2000, when yearly dues cost $25, to $58,750 last year, when the group charged $35.

No shocker.

Critics of the organization say they are not surprised that membership is sagging, and that a recent decision by the Justice Department to name CAIR as "unindicted co-conspirators" in a federal case against another foundation charged with providing funds to a terrorist group could discourage new members.

Sestak - CAIR's Congressman?

Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA), former Rear Admiral, seems to be digging deeper and deeper.

Here is what you need to do; listen to him get NAILED in a lie (either that or he allows a supporter to lie about him) by a caller on a local program. Listen to what he says about the German American Bund....I mean CAIR.

He has sold his soul to be a Dhimmi. We have the "beauty of Islam," "a religion of justice and beauty," "CAIR does good work," "people of color," "the work they do in racial profiling is outstanding." "Our CAIR Chapter is different from the National Chapter."

The "people of color" thing drives me nuts. I can, and have, easily passed for a Lebanese, Jordanian or Syrian.

His tone is so condescending. What a pogue - has he actually read the Koran? Does he understand the concept of Naskh (Abrogation)? How about The Way of Jihad? How about Reliance of the Traveler? The Hadith of Bukhari? Doesn't he know that Muslims of CAIR's stripe are not going to listen to religious teaching from an infidel?

Even after the (sympathetic) host makes a good point, Sestak defends CAIR. He does not understand that CAIR is not the spokesmen for American Muslims. Oops. Someone has been caught in a fib. A fib about whose house he has done fundraising in. Hear the person, CAIR's local Chairman Hussain, say Sestak has - when Sestak denies. Let his own words speak for him.

Additionally, being that Sestak has such faith in Hussain, we should take at face value what Hussain says. Chairman Hussain does a good job showing the lack of respect Hussain has for Sestak - and the lack of confidence Sestak has in his nation. Listen to it and you will know what I mean. Joe Sestak (D-PA) is facing an intense attack of sorts by the Philly Jews to back down from his commitment to speak at a CAIR dinner.

Yes? More, oh Ceasar!

It boggles the mind as to how hateful these synagogue attendees are towards CAIR, just because CAIR ( /Muslims) don’t support Israel’s state-terrorism.

CAIR represents Muslims like the German-American Bund represented Eisenhower, Nimitz, and Spaatz.

What started it all was former RADM Sestak's (hey, someone has to remind him he isn't a VADM) foray into a large gathering of my new tribe.

Q:Why do you conflate Muslim constituents with CAIR. You are making it harder for Muslim moderates.

A: Asks what conflate means. When he speaks to CAIR he will say as he always does that Israel is a staunch ally and Hamas is wrong. CAIR, like the organizations of many new immigrants, is trying to break in to politics, into the Democratic Party. Two Muslims who volunteered for him at the 69th street station told him not to go to the event or they were afraid he would not be reelected in two years.

Good for those who voted for you, R & D, or just the Democrat Party? There is a good deal more here.

And what was said as well? Mmmmm, this isn't how I remember it.

He said that he would have stayed in the Navy longer but got into the political race because of his daughter’s health.

That is worth an investigation or two by his hometown newspaper (Washington DC area).

Sestak headlines terrorist fundraiser

I thought he would fade from my blog, but former RADM now Rep. Sestak (D-PA) has showed that he has no idea who supports his former Shipmates - and who would rather see them defeated. There is not excuse. Let his constituents handle it. I'm on the edge in speaking this way about a sitting Congressman anyway.

The headline speaker for the German-American Bund...errr...damblit I did it again....I mean C.A.I.R.

Freshman Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) has ignited a controversy after agreeing to be the keynote speaker at an April 7 banquet and fundraiser hosted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations Philadelphia chapter.

CAIR is the largest Muslim civil rights group in the country, with 30 chapters nationwide. Jewish organizations and conservative groups have criticized CAIR for not labeling Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations, and for not speaking out specifically against suicide bombings against Israelis.

Sestak’s acceptance of the invitation has particularly enraged members of the Philadelphia Jewish community, who bombarded him with critical questions at a forum last week. Most of the questions during the two-hour meeting dealt with the CAIR fundraiser.

According to Rabbi Lisa Malik, whose synagogue co-sponsored the forum, the event nearly was canceled after word of Sestak’s appearance at CAIR’s function leaked out. When the congressman did speak, he had to field a barrage of tough questions from the audience at the Jewish Community Center in Havertown, PA. Protesters gathered outside.

“I don’t think he came across looking that good. A lot of his answers came across as very wishy-washy,” said Malik. “He had the opportunity to become a hero. I was hoping after hearing everyone’s complaints, he would cancel his appearance at the CAIR function or at least reconsider it.”

Shame. Show you know how to handle a rookie mistake and withdrawal from the "banquet." If not, sobeit. The election is in under 20 months.

He is, as is his nature though, letting his ego dig his hole deeper.

One of the featured speakers at the event is Muslim activist Rafael Narbaez, who has made a number of controversial comments about Israel in the past. During a July 2006 speech at a Detroit mosque, Narbaez said the Zionists have “the same racist ideology that the Nazis of Germany had.”

The brouhaha began two weeks ago when Sestak’s outreach coordinator, Adeeba Al-Zaman, booked the congressman for an event his aides presented as a banquet. But CAIR’s Philadelphia chapter put out fliers billing the congressman as the featured speaker at a fundraiser. Al-Zaman is the former director of communications for CAIR’s Philadelphia chapter.

Upon receiving complaints, Sestak insisted that he wouldn’t speak unless he was the only speaker and was disassociated from the fundraising portion of the event. CAIR responded by advertising Sestak’s speech as part of a “banquet” while other featured speakers and entertainment would be listed under the fundraiser. Despite the changes, attendees still need to pay $50 to attend the banquet and hear Sestak speak.

Sestak said he would not cancel because more than 200 of his constituents would be in the audience. He also said he would criticize CAIR in his speech, and tell them they need to more explicitly condemn terrorism.

“The easiest thing to do was to cancel, but I don’t think it’s the right thing to do,” Sestak said. “The best way forward is to take advantage of this to speak, and to speak truth to power. And to speak directly and candidly of what I believe.”

Sestak said he will reiterate his “strong support for Israel” and criticize the terrorist groups in his speech. He added that he hasn’t seen any instance where CAIR has specifically singled out Hamas and Hezbollah for criticism.

"Truth to power?" Huh? "...has not seen...?" Huh? I don't know, maybe check here, here, here, here and here for starters.

At this point, anything but walking away is CYA. Period.
