Cosby, Justice, and the Morality of Blood Sacrifice

When we use the phrase, "In the finest traditions ..." what tradition are we using?

Have we adopted some of the traditions, habits, and sense of justice of a totalitarian society - or do we maintain the traditions of a representative republic based on the rule of law?

Are we erring on the side of the values that make our nation unique, or are we making decisions based on less honorable reasons?

I'm trying to get my head around some sadly disturbing responses from out Navy specifically around Bill Cosby - but this is about a lot more than him.

Come join me over at USNIBlog
and let me know your thoughts.
