Adds you won't see in the US

I thought for a second I was hit by a kiddyporn pup-up...then I realized this (click here if the add is gone) was just an add for a kid's cellphone.

I'm sorry. It isn't porno per se (though you can discern the adult's, ahem, grooming habits, for goodness sake) ....but I don't think it is healthy. I am not a prude, but I do have two young girls and have issues with sexualizing young kids. Don't kid yourself. As we say at home, "This just ain't right."

I love the Dutch (this is what I get for going to Dutch websites), but this just crosses the line. I like our "judgemental" tastes.

Brainwash them early

Forget the Nanny-state, here comes the Mommy-state.

Sometimes, a political entity shows its A55 without knowing it - and in the process brings their viability into question. Via Ace, the following is from a no kidding website "littledemocrats."

It is very illustrative of what the Left thinks of you, them, and "others."

The whole site is a treasure, but I want to focus on their cartoon booklet for children that explains why they are, well, let's review some sample pages.

Looks fairly tame, but the Lefty is in the details.
- We will make you good. "Democrats make.." like the verb. Make. Methinks they mean 6.b=To compel.
- Genderbender. The female wee-one (I presume due to the bows) is wearing her Dexy's Midnight Runners tribute coveralls. The boy (I assume) is pantless. I guess that is for the NAMBLA folks.
- Homelessness is everywhere. This is like "Where's Waldo." Bill the Bum is in every picture. Funny though, Ms. Dem never seems to notice or do anything about it. Just wants you to feel guilty.....
- Rich, married white people are bad. Yep, they are like Bill the Bum ... they are returning characters. At least they look at Bill the Bum.
- Paternalistic Racism. Notice that Bill the Bum has a high melanin content. The soft bigotry of low expectations strikes again.
- Men not needed. Where is Dad?

- Republicans are not bad, they are evil. The not-so-subtle with the GOP mascot.

Germany's shame

While the Germans twitched in their cheap Anti-American sugar high over the last few years; their narcissistic Socialist Chancellor was gilding his parachute.

Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder will lead the shareholders committee for a German- Russian gas-pipeline project to pump gas under the Baltic Sea, OAO Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller said today.

State-controlled Gazprom began building the more than 4- billion-euro ($4.7 billion) North European gas pipeline project today in the town of Babaeyvo in Russia's Volodga region, north of Moscow.

The pipeline will allow Gazprom to ship gas directly to Germany, bypassing Poland, Ukraine and Belarus. It will carry 27.5 billion cubic meters of gas a year in 2010 and twice that much by 2012, Miller said. Gazprom will raise gas exports to Europe 4.1 percent to 151 billion cubic meters in 2006 following a 3.1 percent jump this year as demand and prices rise.

That is the deal he approved three months ago. This is beyond question. I don't think we have smelled a worse Russian-German scam since they carved up Poland.

For some reason, I don’t think you will hear too much about this on the English Deutsche Wella besides this little bit hid in a corner – they are too concerned with terrorists frequent flyer miles.

White House "Holiday Card" kerfunkle

Ho, ho, holdit.

OK, I'm calling everyone an asshat on this.

Here is a bit from the WaPo.

Then along comes a generic season's greeting from the White House, paid for by the Republican National Committee. The cover art is also secular, if not humanist: It shows the presidential pets -- two dogs and a cat -- frolicking on a snowy White House lawn.

"Certainly President and Mrs. Bush, because of their faith, celebrate Christmas," said Susan Whitson, Laura Bush's press secretary. "Their cards in recent years have included best wishes for a holiday season, rather than Christmas wishes, because they are sent to people of all faiths."

And the DemocraticUnderground.

It has nothing to do with Jesus. It has everything to do with creating frightened malleable followers desperate for protection from the terrifying unbelievers.

I have no idea what that is about, but it is nice to see the maddness now and then.

And two guys who should know better.

They watch from cafes who passes and intimidate women. Gradually these disappear from the street. There is an atmosphere of intolerance. Women can't dress the way they would like to. Well, we are fed up being called whores because we are not dressed the way certain men would like us to be. It is an offensive and disrespectful attitude towards women."
