What an infinitely likeable guy!  And the humility (and irony) of him asking Obama advice on being successful.... words fail.

But talking about it with Letterman... pearls before swine.

I'm fairly confident Sargeant Meyer has been forced to make more imediate and rash decisions than has the President in the past few years. I know he has probably made more imediate and rash decisions than I have in the last 25.

    Impressive young man.

You will note our finest will not be dissuaded from ensuring maintenence is properly accomplished on equipment he is responsible for.

The NCO's are the backbone, as ever.

We should get GOFO's half that responsible.
    In our dreams...

I imagine that, like the interview with Letterman, that when Sgt Meyer and POTUS met, they were both speaking English, but hardly talking the same language.

    That was really really great.

I have a very modern day question. What was with his Medal of Honor? I'm not used to seeing it not displayed hanging around the neck but that honorable man's seemed attached to the choker collar of his Marine Dress uniform. I've never seen that medal worn that way.

We need to pitch in a couple hundred bucks and get that fella some anodized medals, buttons and buckle. Don't even know if they make anodized CMOH's though. However, I doubt anyone would call him on it. ;)

I think that is why he is non anodized.  We watched him and said the same thing and when I pointed out the MOH was not anodized, it made sense.
