...these charity calendar shots have helped raise £26,000 for injured servicemen and women wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq.I don't know if it will work well in the US though.
A total of 50 volunteers, all wives and girlfriends of men from the three Armed Services, stripped off to be photographed at bases and training centres in Hampshire. But their modesty was preserved by carefully placed pieces of military equipment.

UPDATE: I ask one thing of everyone here before they judge your host or the ladies above. Follow the links at the end of the post in addition to the quote I took from it. Understand who these people ARE and what they are doing this FOR.
If you think this is all about T&A - then you are 180 deg out.
Britain doesn't get everything right...

What engineering spaces?
ReplyDeleteI think it is more of a case of us having the finest bazookas but not the will to deploy them...
ReplyDeleteAck. Not safe for work!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to answer all Belles!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, come on. Just a little side-bum. Nothing bad.
ReplyDeleteJust a bit cheeky... =-X
ReplyDeleteMan, that is the cleanest tool belt I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteGood for them! :*
ReplyDeleteI see that the PEB finally succeeded in eliminating potentially flammable uniform items from the engineering spaces.
ReplyDeleteI want to stand watch there.

Kristen,
ReplyDeleteAll the best going forward. We all make decisions on what websites to frequent for different reasons. There are various sites I stopped visiting because of some reason or another (usually the unforgivable act of being boring/long winded). I can't or won't argue with your reasoning because only you can decide what you're comfortable viewing/reading.
Take care.
Yawn. They don't do much for me.
ReplyDeleteHey, Kristen, don't go away. These guys appreciate women... the way guys do. They're sailors. At least their mommas didn't let them grow up to be cowboys. The guys thought it was all in good fun, and it wasn't half as crude as it could have been.
Having said all that, I wouldn't pose for one of those. And between you and me, while the guys liked it, I wonder if they would have liked it as much if those were THEIR wives and girlfriends or daughters or sisters... ;) Let's just take our lemonade and wander down to the water's edge while they ponder the intellectual conundrum of liking it when it's someone else's wife or daughter but not being keen on the notion of their own relatives being in a picture like that. When they finish that discussion we can wander back and talk about how silly that LCS is.
Don't go away. If the ladies all leave the porch they'll turn into complete hooligans to be sure! We're here to save them from themselves. It's our job in society. (Plus they make us laugh out loud. Admit it!)
Wow...sure do look different from the snipes I remember!
ReplyDelete(spent some quality extra duty time in the #2 fireroom once...)
The one on the right with the smile?
She must be getting ready to grease the guy behind the camera.... =-O
Yeah, but be careful if you're new in the gang...she was holding a grease gun....
ReplyDeleteAnd we wonder why civilian employers find that employees with military backgrounds tend to not be as professional as desired.
ReplyDeleteDo you come here every day just to find someone to insult or denigrate, "Guest" or "CombatNFO" or whoever you are?
ReplyDeleteI guess it's my turn to tell you today: You're an a55.
The blonde is gonna let out a squeak if she continues to lean her thigh against the engine block like that.
ReplyDeleteWell, I was wondering about this for quite some time:
ReplyDeleteWould one get into Big Trouble in the US military for making a real life picture version of, say, the Frisian Flag badge, for a similar purpose? Frisian Flag 2010 has been ruined pretty much by the Iceland volcano, BTW.

Actually, guest, "we" wonder why you assert that such a thing is true when it's not.
ReplyDelete
Another one added to the "/ignore" file...
ReplyDeleteCareer ending trouble.
ReplyDeleteKristin,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that you are leaving - I truly enjoy your visits - I hope you reconsider.
I would also hope you would appreciate the post. Please follow the links and see why it is done. Also understand the context and why it was done. Context is key.
Send me an email when you get a chance.
Indeed. I'm sure all of the SEC staffers in the story below were former or retired military.

URR, don't worry, I won't force you to figure it out. You can do that when you get out of the Marines.
ReplyDeleteLargebill, thank you for your kind response.
ReplyDeleteIf only they had some Asian women!
ReplyDeleteGuest, my husband is in the military. I come here because I enjoy the company of military folk. If you don't, I can't imagine what you're doing here.
ReplyDeleteDelta Bravo, I processed a lot of those thoughts yesterday and I agree with a lot of what you wrote. And...this is the CDR's porch and if he wants to pass around naked pictures of women from time to time among the guys, he has the right to do so.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, I think of that as locker-room behavior, not front-porch behavior. I wouldn't stand around on a porch in real life while it was being done and it doesn't feel right to stand on a cyber porch and pretend that it doesn't bother me either.
But I appreciate your thoughts on the subject and I will process them a little further...and yes, they make me laugh out loud all the time.
CDR, I'll email you tomorrow when I get a few minutes to myself.
ReplyDeleteKristen, I hope you and the CDR can work things out. I, for one, would miss your contributions.
ReplyDeletecompare to that:
