Self-parody in all its maddening glory - and the version at the NRC website does not have the nice closed captioning for the multi-culti impaired.
First - don't give me all the psych-babble about "the parents." The social theory that produces this taxpayer funded bile is on the cutting edge of 1977.
All I want to know is; will the next 3-M FR include MRCs en Espanol?
But wait; it gets worse.
If anyone in uniform tells you that they treat all Sailors the same regardless of race, creed, color, or national origin - don't listen to what they say - watch what they do.

... and yes - it is transparent as can be - and as patronizing and insulting as an Al Jolson show ... and no, you aren't the only one who thought this.
And don't feel guilty for laughing. When you are being insulted you can laugh, cry, or scream. I prefer to laugh. Too bad smearing the Navy with sectarianism, racism, and division isn't funny.

Where have all the white folks gone, long time passing. Where have all the white folks gone, long time ago. sixties protest song reworked!
ReplyDeleteSo when I look puzzled at the yelled "!fuego!" while in CIC, how long will it take me to guess whether we're to shoot, or I oughta grab a CO2?
ReplyDeleteWill the multi-culti Navy pay to make this O-6 tri or sesqi-lingual to meet everybody else's language expectations?
Breaking news: Soon, all of us who object will be on "Hate Registers." This article (http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/60745,news-comment,news-politics,hate-registers-criminalise-schoolchildren-for-playground-insults-bullying?DCMP=NLC-daily) is about a school system, but trust "someone" will decide it's good to make sure we identify those who hate early on, because we all know they grow up to be raving, killing mainiacs.
ReplyDeleteThought crimes....coming to a local system near you.
XF,
ReplyDeleteSupreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would likely not object. Her comments would be similar to her patent dismissal of our rights under the Second Amendment, and might be something like this:
<span>"If the notion is that these are principles that any free society would adopt, well, a lot of free societies have rejected the right freedom of speech and religion, and the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty by a jury of peers" </span>
And like Skippy said about gun control in "free" societies, we have to look no farther than the UK.....
Yeah, now THAT is freedom.
Indicative of a disturbing trend of how if the attributes of the worst criminals are automatically applied to those who say...play Dungeons and Dragons...because some people who murdered did. Ergo: If you played D&D, "we" need to set up aside and let everyone know, because you coould explode (or not) at any moment.
ReplyDelete"Minority Report," even for fiction, tended to point this way. Now life is beginning to imitate that art.
Lest we forget American Sign Language!
ReplyDeleteThat's why, back in the day, you used the commands "Batteries released" and "Load and shoot" on the gunnery circuits :)
ReplyDeleteI PITY THE FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to press ONE FOR G'DAMN ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think SGT Hulka said it best.. "I'm getting to old for this shit..."
ReplyDeleteWhen did Madeline Albright, Clinton's goofy SECSTATE as I recall, become CNO and start directing Navy misson & diversity messages? Rahm, is that you? I am so ashamed of what a half decent fighting force, with ships and men of steel, have become. And MTH, we all want to should be able to press 1.
ReplyDeleteWe should't HAVE to press one for English.
ReplyDeleteHow long until the Progressives request the formation of an American Kempeitai. For the Good of the Children, of course.
ReplyDeletedepending on the language, "batteries released" could mean the Energizer Bunny has ceased energisering in fear.... :-D
ReplyDeleteAll the bells and whistles about diversity actually further discrimination. Those morally decent people in charge (overwhelmingly white males because, well, that's life....deal with it) are so tired of being beaten over the head with the diversity sledge hammer that should a true discrimination issue arise they are too weary of the diversity parade to do anythign about it; while those who do harbor prejudices are able to pat themselves on the back because they had a command "women's history month" lunch and have checked their "I support EO" box,all the while patting themselves ont he back for how "diversity friendly" they are.
ReplyDeleteSal is right. watch what they do, not what they say.
Glad to see the military hasn't lowered admissions standards to achieve the recruiting targets during war time. Is English a requirement?
