Of note, the Type-094 SSBN when it goes operational next few years will be outfitted with the DF-31 SLBM missile, being that the new JL-2 SLBM is having some developmental difficulties. Once outfitted with 16 JL-2 (MIRV’d I am sure thanks to the Clinton Administration), the Type 094 will be able to reach out an touch someone from ~7,500 miles.
