Admittedly, I don't understand ship design. <br /><br />300 odd feet long, 2100 tons full load. 39 kts, with 4 127mm canon, depth charges, and AA guns. <br /><br />Man, they packed a lot onto a small ship back in the day. And man, it makes me wonder where all the weight is coming from on the LCS, which has another 1000 tons to boot, less armament, and speed that is faster, but questionably so given it's weight gain. <br /><br />Maybe ship design was just spread around to more firms back in the day, and there was better knowledge. <br /><br />JFWAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
