I should have stayed on Active Duty

With all this spare time - the devil has been hard at work.

The food at the Oyster Shack is worth every bit of that effort, and then some.

I'd surely like to see that happen to Reid and Pelosi.  "I know my rights! I know my rights! I ain't doin' nothin wrong!"   ZAP!

This angers and worries me.  And this is whiy:  The guy was electrocuted because he got back on his lawnmower.  Considering all of the circumstances, was this really the minimum force necessary to compel compliance?  I don't think so.

Remember when tasers first came out?  They were justifed for police department purchase because drug-crazed offenders had "superhuman strength" and were dangerous to officers.  Now, people who are merely verbally resistant get tazed by officers who are either too fat or too incompetent to handle the situation any other way.

Please consider these two other videos:

Sure, it's funny when it's some drunk redneck getting tazed.  Not so funny when it's your son or daughter.  That's why some police agencies are  so eager to prevent citizens from using a camera.

CDR K, before you go into high spin cycle, there's about three of these videos starring the cop, Steve and the lawn mower...and all of them are staged. I personally think the first one was a lot funnier.

That's as good as the fellow with the powered Lazy Boy recliner.  At least our trade schools are still producing some quality engineers ;)

Oh, well, then....as Emily Litella would say:  Never mind.

    Bring on the violins!

The riding lawn mower operator sounds as intelligent as the very astute and prudent Congressman from Georgia who ponders deep thinking about islands capsizing or "Tipping Over." Maybe drug testing should be implemented?

Hmmm... I have a beer cooler on my farm tractor, one on my riding mower, and one on the ATV. It's de rigueur here in Nowhere, WV. And it's not unsual to to see one or more of each at the local mini-mart getting fuel for the vehicle AND the soul.

Reckon I just don't get the joke?

Oh yeah, what's an oyster bar anyway?

You anywhere near Short Gap, Ponsdorf?

    Byron,

Beg to differ.  The Vermont version would have a little snowplow on the front of the tractor, the perp in an orange hunting hat and long johns (and a jacked deer strapped to the back), and the cop in a parka.  Other than a different accent, it is the same sort of fellas.

Out here in Washington State drunks driving down the street on lawn mowers are not uncommon and we had the guy pulled over in the motorized recliner.

As for the Taser, I found the video of Rick Sanchez being Tased much more humorous.

Nah, that's Lilyea's (TAH) AO. Closest 'town' to me is Rock Cave, WV. It's got an IGA, A Dollar General, and a PO.

Short Gap ain't that big :) ...You'd have to drive over to Ft. Ashby to get that

  20. Byron16:14

What's wrong with it? You ain't never seen a supercharged yard mower?

Oh, Mary... I'm backing away from the "that's what she said joke" right now before my impulse control disappears...

Yeah well, Nowhere, WV is on a dirt road miles from Rock Cave. Lilyea is in Fort Ashby. I have two full baths, two half baths, AND a functioning outhouse. I have MY priorities in order.

    Wanna keep playing 'topya'??? ;)
